CEAI is not for everybody. Although CEAI is growing rapidly, the organization still enjoys a small company feel where there is little corporate hierarchy and everyone wears several hats. The organization’s emphasis on timely, quality delivery and cost containment translates into an extremely hands-on, fast-paced environment.
CEAI’s recruitment policy is non-discriminatory. CEAI staff represents a multicultural multiethnic diversity including Russian, Indian, Chinese, African American, and Caucasian. CEAI has engineering centers in the USA and India and recruits talent in locations from Cleveland to Bejing to Gurgaon. Dozens of languages are spoken by CEAI staffers, from Cantonese to Telugu. As CEAI expands its team, it continues to look for those who share an obsessive commitment to helping our members rapidly and cost effectively implement and use information technology and have a great time doing it.
Members of the CEAI staff range in age from 20 to 65. The balance of raw talent and experienced professionals gives CEAI the correct balance for success. CEAI's human resources policy is based on meritocracy. It is not unusual to find a 35 year old engineer reporting to a 25 year old department head. This system of meritocracy also allows for employees to accelerate their careers technically and financially at their own pace.
CEAI does not have cubicles or closed offices. All CEAI staff sits together in a command center seating arrangement to facilitate communication, collaboration, teamwork, knowledge sharing, and learning. Although CEAI has offices around the world, CEAI operates as one team. It is not uncommon for a staff member in CEAI-India to have his or her team lead and direct report in CEAI-USA or vice-versa. CEAI also transplants staff from one CEAI office to another CEAI office on short-term and long-term assignments as another means to facilitate communication, collaboration, teamwork, knowledge sharing, and learning.
